Literacy Aotearoa

Literacy Aotearoa was established to develop, promote and deliver accessible, quality literacy services designed to ensure the people are literate and able to realise their full social, cultural and economic potential.

Literacy Aotearoa has worked with Zest on three projects – their website, intranet, and PouPou (or membership site)

For the public website, Literacy Aotearoa wanted to have an easy-to-use content management system, that was responsive so it displays on mobile devices.  Literacy staff wanted to manage the site themselves with minimal training, and easily add new pages, news, video and other content.

For the intranet, Zest extended the content system to allow articles and other content to be published to specific job roles or people.  We developed a calendar function on the intranet that interfaces to Outlook via the Office 365 API, so staff can see and book meetings without leaving the intranet.  There is also a task management and basic workflow system that allows users to create and assign tasks to others, and once those tasks have been completed by one person, for them to be forwarded to others to complete their parts.

Zest delivered a full solution, including design, development, support and maintenance and secure website hosting.
